What Is Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate (TSPP)?
Tetrasodium pyrophosphate (TSPP), CAS 7722-88-5, Na4P2O7, molecular weight 265.90 g/mol, is an alkaline phosphate salt. It binds metal ions and improves protein functionality, and is used in meat and seafood processing, cheese, and as a dispersant and sequestrant in toothpaste and detergents.
The specification sets assay ≥96.5%, water-insoluble matter ≤0.2% and pH 9.9–10.7, with fluoride, arsenic and heavy-metal limits. It is the anhydrous salt, different from SAPP and from TSPP decahydrate.
It is not regulated as dangerous goods. Food use requires a grade and documents that meet the rules of the destination market.
As a TSPP supplier and exporter in China, ZXCHEM packs the white powder in 25 kg kraft bags.
