Thiosalicylic acid (2-mercaptobenzoic acid), CAS 147-93-3, EC 205-704-3, C7H6O2S, is an aromatic compound with thiol and carboxylic acid groups. It is an intermediate for thioxanthone photoinitiators, dyes and pharmaceuticals such as thimerosal.
