Storage Conditions
Store tightly closed in compatible acid-resistant containers in a cool, ventilated area with secondary containment. Segregate alkalis, reactive metals and incompatible materials; protect closures from damage.

Handling & Protection
Use controlled liquid transfer with suitable extraction where acid mist can form. Wear acid-resistant gloves, protective clothing and eye/face protection. For dilution, add acid slowly to water with cooling; prevent splashes and provide eyewash and emergency washing facilities.
What Is Phosphoric Acid 70%?
Phosphoric acid (H3PO4), CAS 7664-38-2, is supplied as an aqueous solution with at least 70% H3PO4. It is a different substance from phosphorous acid (H3PO3). Typical uses are metal cleaning and phosphating, phosphate salt manufacture and acid cleaners.
The supply specification limits fluoride to ≤0.001%, chloride to ≤0.0005%, arsenic to ≤0.0001%, heavy metals as lead to ≤0.001% and sulfate to ≤0.003%. Easily oxidized matter as H3PO3 is ≤0.012%. This is an industrial grade, not a food or pharmaceutical grade.
It ships as UN 1805, Class 8, packing group III. Use acid-resistant containers, splash protection and controlled dilution, adding acid to water.
