Erucamide propyl hydroxysulfobetaine, CAS 164118-71-2, is a zwitterionic sulfobetaine surfactant with a long erucic chain. The sulfonate group gives it good tolerance to high salinity and divalent ions, which suits oilfield foaming, viscosifying and wetting formulations in hard brines.
