What Is Lauramidopropyl Betaine (LAPB)?
Lauramidopropyl betaine (LAPB), CAS 4292-10-8, is an amphoteric surfactant. It boosts foam, builds viscosity with anionic surfactants and is compatible with anionic, nonionic and cationic systems, so it is used in cleansing products and oilfield foaming and wetting formulations.
Two grades are available, FS LAB-35 and FS LAB-40, as colourless to light yellow transparent liquids. The specification table lists active content and the other limits for each.
