Diglycidyl 1,2-Cyclohexanedicarboxylate, also called diglycidyl hexahydrophthalate, is a difunctional epoxy ester with formula C14H20O6 and molecular weight 284.31 g/mol. Its epoxy functionality and relatively low viscosity make it useful in selected reactive-diluent and resin formulation systems.
The supply grade has epoxy value 0.55–0.65 eq/100g and epoxy equivalent 153–182 g/eq. Epoxy value is expressed in eq/100g; epoxy equivalent is expressed in g/eq. It also specifies viscosity 300–1,200 mPa·s at 25°C, color ≤100 APHA and limits for hydrolyzable chloride, inorganic chlorine and moisture.
Applications include electrical encapsulation and casting, adhesives, composites and cationically UV-curable formulations. Evaluate compatibility with the curing system, mix ratio, processing viscosity and final material properties. Electrical or weathering performance depends on the complete formulation and is not a universal raw-material guarantee.
