What Is Calcium Phosphate Monobasic?
Calcium phosphate monobasic, commonly called monocalcium phosphate, is a white phosphate powder identified by CAS 7758-23-8. The anhydrous identity has formula Ca(H2PO4)2 and molecular weight 234.05 g/mol; it is distinct from a monohydrate grade.
The supply specification controls calcium at 15.9–17.7%, together with lead, arsenic, heavy metals, fluoride and water. The water limit is measured under the stated 60°C for 3 hours condition. Retaining this test basis prevents comparison with an unrelated drying condition.
Food formulators can evaluate the phosphate as a leavening-acid component, dough regulator, calcium source or pH-control ingredient in qualified applications. Assess reaction timing, the full phosphate/leavening system, dispersion and finished-product performance using the intended recipe.
Standard packing is 25 kg composite woven or paper bags with PE liner. The powder is hygroscopic and should remain tightly closed and dry. The reference classifies serious eye damage, while its DOT/IMDG/IATA transport entry is non-dangerous goods. Use dust control and tightly fitting eye protection.

Calcium Phosphate Monobasic FAQ
Which Calcium Phosphate Monobasic grade should I choose?
Compare Calcium content15.9–17.7% against your process requirements. Check the TDS for assay and impurity limits, then test a sample for compatibility and performance in your process.
Can I request a Calcium Phosphate Monobasic sample for testing?
Request a free sample for testing. Tell us the intended Monocalcium phosphate application, preferred grade and the tests you plan to perform, so that we can arrange a suitable evaluation sample and technical information.
How is Calcium Phosphate Monobasic packed and shipped?
Standard packing is 25 kg composite woven/paper bags with PE liner. The usual MOQ is 1,000 kg, with a lead time of approximately 14 days from order confirmation. The reference bulk transport classification is Non-dangerous goods.
Which documents are available for Calcium Phosphate Monobasic?
The TDS covers supply specifications; the reference SDS covers safety and transport. Both can be downloaded on this page. A batch COA can be provided with supply. Request documents for the grade and physical form you are ordering.
