What Is Acesulfame Potassium (Acesulfame K)?
Acesulfame potassium (acesulfame K, Ace-K), CAS 55589-62-3, is a heat-stable high-intensity sweetener about 200 times sweeter than sucrose. It is often blended with aspartame or sucralose to improve taste in beverages, dairy, bakery and confectionery.
The assay is 99.0–101.0%, with controls on loss on drying, elemental impurities, pH 5.5–7.5 (1 in 100 solution) and microbes.
It is not regulated as dangerous goods. Food use requires a grade and documents that meet the rules of the destination market.
