Storage Conditions
Keep original bags tightly sealed, dry and protected from light and moisture. For long-term storage, keep at or below 5°C to preserve enzyme activity. Prevent condensation when moving chilled material.

Inspect container seals, liners and pallet wrapping before unloading. Retain product and lot labels; use clean, dry tools and reseal opened packages promptly.

Avoid breathing enzyme dust. Use closed transfer or local dust extraction; wear suitable gloves, goggles and work clothing. Where airborne exposure is not controlled, use a properly selected particulate respirator under a respiratory-protection program. Seek prompt medical care for breathing symptoms.
What Is Bromelain?
Bromelain is a protease enzyme from pineapple stem (CAS 37189-34-7, EC 253-387-5). It breaks down proteins and is used to tenderize meat, clarify beer, make protein hydrolysates and condition dough.
The specification sets activity ≥2,400 GDU/g, with limits on loss on drying, residue on ignition, elemental impurities and microbes. Compare activity only in GDU/g on the same assay basis.
It is not regulated as dangerous goods. Enzyme dust can cause respiratory sensitization, so avoid inhaling it. Food use requires a grade and documents that meet the rules of the destination market.
