Trimethylolpropane triglycidyl ether, abbreviated TMPTGE, is a multifunctional aliphatic epoxy reactive diluent. Its epoxy groups can participate in curing rather than acting only as an evaporating solvent. The offer is a commercial technical grade identified by CAS 30499-70-8.
The 2026 supply specification controls epoxide equivalent at 135–145 g/eq, viscosity at 100–200 mPa·s at 25°C and epoxy value at 0.69–0.74 eq/100 g. Colour, moisture and chlorine limits support incoming inspection. The molecular formula identifies the nominal component; it is not a purity or curing-stoichiometry certificate.
For casting, flooring, coating and adhesive systems, assess the desired mixing viscosity with pot life, cure temperature, hardness and physical properties. Calculate the curing-agent requirement from the actual epoxy equivalent of the combined resin and diluent rather than using the nominal molecular weight.
Composite and fibre-treatment development requires independent assessment of wetting, reaction conversion and cured durability. Prevent skin contact with uncured epoxy liquids and control mist during transfer.
