Product description:
Aluminum Diethylphosphinate (ADP), designated as Type 44, is an advanced, environmentally friendly phosphorus-based flame retardant. As a high-purity organic hypophosphite white powder, it offers a sustainable alternative to halogenated solutions. ADP Type 44 is engineered for moisture resistance and remains insoluble in water and common organic solvents, including acetone, dichloromethane, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), and toluene.
Flame Retardant Mechanism:
When integrated into polymers, ADP Type 44 functions through a robust intumescent mechanism. During combustion, it facilitates the formation of a dense, expandable carbonaceous char layer. This layer serves as a high-efficiency barrier against heat and oxygen, effectively suppressing flame spread and ensuring self-extinguishing performance. The product is noted for its stability, exhibiting no hydrolysis and no migration (precipitation) over time.
Key Features and Applications:
High Performance: Features high phosphorus content, exceptional thermal stability, and a high flame-retardancy efficiency rate.
Superior Compatibility: Maintains the excellent physical, electrical, and coloring properties of the host polymer.
Target Materials: Specifically optimized for the flame-retardant modification of Engineering Plastics, including Polyamide (PA), PBT, and PET.
