What Is Polyquaternium-7?
Polyquaternium-7, CAS 26590-05-6, is a cationic copolymer of acrylamide and diallyldimethylammonium chloride. It improves combing, softness and foam feel in shampoos, conditioners and liquid cleansers, and is compatible with most anionic surfactant systems.
The aqueous grade has 10.0 ± 0.5% solids, with viscosity measured at 25°C and pH on a 1% solution. As a copolymer it has no single molecular formula.
It is not regulated as dangerous goods under IMDG or IATA. Cosmetic use levels and labelling follow the rules of the destination market.
