PolyDADMAC (polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride), CAS 26062-79-3, is a cationic polymer with high charge density. It is used as a primary coagulant or together with inorganic coagulants such as PAC, where it often reduces the total coagulant dose and sludge volume.
Grades range from 20% to 95% solids, as colourless to light yellow viscous liquid or white granules. Molecular weight varies by grade, so solids content and viscosity are selected together.
Typical applications are water clarification and wastewater treatment, retention and anionic-trash control in papermaking, and textile and mining process water. The 20% solution is not regulated as dangerous goods.
