What Is p-Dichlorobenzene (PDCB)?
p-Dichlorobenzene (PDCB), CAS 106-46-7, is the para isomer of dichlorobenzene. It is the main raw material for polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) resin and is also used in dye and pesticide intermediates.
The supply grade has PDCB ≥99.8%, with limits on moisture, boiling fraction and isomer impurities, which matter for PPS polymerization.
It ships as UN 3077, Class 9, packing group III, as a marine pollutant. It causes serious eye irritation and is a suspected carcinogen, so control dust and vapour.
