Storage Conditions
Keep tightly closed and locked up in a dedicated cool, dry, ventilated toxic/corrosive-material area. Protect from moisture, heat and ignition; segregate from strong oxidizers, strong bases, strong acids and ammonia. Use a compatible inert atmosphere where specified by the approved storage procedure.

The TDS specifies assay ≥99.0%. Typical physical values are boiling point approximately 188°C, freezing point approximately −26.8°C, specific gravity approximately 1.3322 at 20/4°C and flash point approximately 83°C.

Application Selection
Qualified chemical manufacturers use dimethyl sulfate in controlled methylation and selected dye, fragrance and pharmaceutical-intermediate routes where permitted.
