DHA is a simple ketose used in sunless tanning formulations. CAS 96-26-4 and EC 202-494-5 identify the substance. Its formula is C3H6O3 and molecular weight is 90.07 g/mol.
Incoming quality checks
The specification covers assay ≥98.0%, water and residue on ignition each ≤0.4%, and pH 4.0–6.0. Trace-element limits are lead ≤10 ppm, iron ≤25 ppm and arsenic, expressed as As2O3, ≤3 ppm. Compare the batch COA with the agreed limits and your cosmetic qualification requirements.
