What Is Lauryldimethylamine Oxide?
Lauryldimethylamine oxide (LDAO, lauramine oxide), CAS 1643-20-5, is a nonionic-to-cationic surfactant supplied as a 30% aqueous solution. It boosts and stabilizes foam and builds viscosity with anionic surfactants, which is why it is widely used in dishwashing liquids, shampoos and cleansers.
The grade has 30 ± 2% active content, with separate limits on free amine and colour. pH is measured on a 10% solution.
It ships as UN 3082, Class 9, packing group III under IMDG and IATA and is not regulated under US DOT. Use eye and skin protection and prevent release to water.
