What Is Melamine?
Melamine is a nitrogen-containing triazine used in industrial resin manufacture. The premium grade controls content, moisture, ash, color and kaolin turbidity. Reaction with formaldehyde forms melamine resins; the properties of a cured resin depend on its formulation and processing. The legacy sheet gives two possible ash maxima without assigning separate grade names, so the applicable maximum must be selected on the order. Density of 700–900 kg/m³ is treated as a powder bulk-density descriptor, not solid true density. The grade is for qualified industrial use; do not use it in food or feed. Review the suspected carcinogenicity, reproductive and repeated-exposure hazards before handling.
