What Is Cysteamine Hydrochloride?
Cysteamine hydrochloride, CAS 156-57-0, is the hydrochloride salt of 2-aminoethanethiol. Its thiol group makes it a reducing agent, and it is used in permitted personal-care formulations such as hair-waving and pigmentation-care products, and as an intermediate in sulfur chemistry.
All grades have an assay of at least 99.0%. Three iron limits are available (standard, low-iron and very-low-iron) because trace metals speed up thiol oxidation; state the iron limit you need in your inquiry.
