What Is Natural Beta-Carotene?
Natural beta-carotene (CAS 7235-40-7) is a yellow-to-orange carotenoid colour, supplied as water-dispersible powders, emulsions or oil suspensions. It colours beverages, dairy, confectionery and fats where permitted, and is used in nutritional and personal-care products.
Powder grades contain 1–10% beta-carotene, with loss on drying ≤7% and arsenic ≤2 mg/kg. Formula C40H56 and molecular weight 536.87 g/mol describe the beta-carotene itself, not the carrier. State the concentration and form when requesting a quotation.
Store it cool, dark and dry; shelf life is 12 months unopened. It is not regulated as dangerous goods. Food and beverage use requires a grade permitted in the destination market. No health claim is made.
