TBBP-DBPE is tetrabromobisphenol S bis(2,3-dibromopropyl ether), CAS 42757-55-1. Its sulfone-containing structure distinguishes it from tetrabromobisphenol A ethers. Use the chemical identity when comparing abbreviated trade names for brominated polymer additives.
The specification controls bromine at ≥64%, melting point at ≥110°C, loss on drying at ≤0.30% and Hunter whiteness at ≥90. These are supply-grade limits for the white powder. Choose packaging and feeding conditions appropriate to the particle form and the compounding line.
