Commercial Information
Storage & Shipping
Storage Conditions
Keep tightly closed in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from sunlight and heat. Separate from oxidizers, strong acids and uncontrolled contact with curing agents.
Packaging Integrity
Inspect drums, IBC valves, closures and seals before unloading. Keep packages labelled, protect from damage and contamination, use clean transfer equipment and reseal promptly.
Packaging
20 kg / 200 kg drums / 1,000 kg IBC
Handling & Protection
Use controlled transfer and local ventilation where mist can form. Wear compatible chemical-resistant gloves, splash goggles and protective clothing; avoid contact with uncured epoxy liquid.
What Is Ethylene Glycol Diglycidyl Ether (EGDGE)?
Ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, abbreviated EGDGE, is a difunctional aliphatic glycidyl ether used in selected epoxy formulations. Its reactive epoxy groups contribute to the cured network. It is distinct from ethylene glycol and from longer-chain polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ethers.
The grade specifies EEW 126–135 g/eq, epoxy value 0.74–0.79 eq/100 g and viscosity 15–30 mPa·s at 25°C. These values describe a commercial reactive-diluent grade. The correct component EC number is 218-746-2; a pure molecular formula must not be used to infer the grade assay.
The TDS gives 10–30 parts per 100 parts epoxy resin as a starting formulation range. Evaluate casting, embedding, flooring and coating systems by mixing viscosity, penetration, pot life, cure and final properties. Determine curing-agent demand using the actual EEW of the resin-diluent blend.
Adhesive, composite and textile-treatment development should verify conversion, adhesion, durability and intended-use requirements. No medical or food-contact authorization is established by this industrial listing. Minimize uncured-liquid exposure because the safety reference includes irritation, sensitization and suspected mutagenicity.

Ethylene Glycol Diglycidyl Ether (EGDGE) FAQ
Which Ethylene Glycol Diglycidyl Ether (EGDGE) grade should I choose?
Choose by EEW 126–135 g/eq and viscosity 15–30 mPa·s at 25°C, with the specified colour, water and chlorine limits. The 10–30 parts per 100 parts resin range is for initial trials. Adjust hardener demand by blend EEW and evaluate cure and final properties.
Can I request a Ethylene Glycol Diglycidyl Ether (EGDGE) sample for testing?
Yes. We can provide free samples for testing. Tell us the application, the grade you need and the tests you plan to run.
How is Ethylene Glycol Diglycidyl Ether (EGDGE) packed and shipped?
Standard packing is 20 kg / 200 kg drums / 1,000 kg IBC. The usual MOQ is 1,000 kg, with a lead time of approximately 14 days from order confirmation. It ships as non-dangerous goods.
Which documents are available for Ethylene Glycol Diglycidyl Ether (EGDGE)?
The TDS lists the supply specification and the SDS covers safety and transport; both can be downloaded on this page. Each shipment comes with a batch COA.
