What Is Citrus Bioflavonoids?
Citrus bioflavonoids are a mixture of flavonoid constituents obtained from citrus fruit. The tan to brown powder has a specified 50–60% flavonoid assay expressed as hesperidin and is available in stated powder-fineness grades.
This botanical mixture is different from a high-purity single hesperidin ingredient. The assay expression describes the analytical basis for total flavonoids and does not mean that every constituent is hesperidin. Its color and mixed composition should be considered when developing citrus-derived nutrition or other ingredient formulations.
