What Is Quaternium-80 Conditioning Concentrate?
Quaternium-80 conditioning concentrate is a silicone quaternary (Quaternium-80, CAS 134737-05-6) supplied in butylene glycol. It combines silicone slip with cationic substantivity, so it improves wet and dry combing, softness and shine in shampoos, shower gels and hair-care products.
The concentrate contains 50–60% Quaternium-80 with a solid content of at least 52%. A typical starting level in shampoos is 1–3%, adjusted in trials with the full surfactant system.
Cosmetic use levels and labelling follow the rules of the destination market.
