Potassium chloride 98% is a refined inorganic potassium salt supplied as white to slightly yellowish fine crystals or powder. Its minimum KCl assay is 98.0% on a dry basis, with controlled moisture, sodium chloride, calcium, magnesium and sulfate. Readily soluble in water, this industrial grade is used in water-based drilling fluids, brine preparation and potassium-based formulations. It is packed in 50 kg lined woven bags with technical documents and purchasing support.

Storage Conditions
Keep bags tightly closed in a dry, ventilated area. Protect from moisture and strong oxidizing agents.
Packaging Integrity
Inspect the woven outer bag and inner plastic liner before use. Keep the liner intact and reseal opened bags promptly to limit moisture ingress and contamination.

What Is Potassium Chloride 98%?
Potassium chloride (KCl), also called muriate of potash, CAS 7447-40-7, is a refined inorganic potassium salt. In water-based drilling fluids and completion brines, the potassium ion reduces hydration and swelling of reactive shale, which helps keep the wellbore stable.
This industrial grade has a minimum KCl assay of 98.0% on a dry basis, with limits on calcium and magnesium, sodium chloride, sulfate and water-insoluble matter. The specification also gives the K2O-equivalent content. Food, feed and pharmaceutical uses need a separately qualified grade.
KCl is not regulated as dangerous goods. Keep the bags sealed and dry, as the salt absorbs moisture and can cake.
