What Is Polixetonium Chloride (WSCP) 60%?
Polixetonium chloride (WSCP), CAS 31512-74-0, is a polymeric quaternary ammonium biocide supplied as a 60% amber liquid. It controls bacteria and algae and is used in recirculating cooling water, process water and industrial preservation.
The specification sets solid content at 60% and lists density at 20°C and pH. As a polymer it has a molecular-weight distribution rather than one fixed molecular weight.
The concentrate is not a ready-to-use disinfectant. Dose depends on water chemistry, microbial load and the other treatment chemicals. It is for permitted industrial uses, not for drinking water, contact lens or consumer products. Finished biocidal products need authorization in the destination market.
