Hexamine is hexamethylenetetramine, CAS 100-97-0, a cage-structured nitrogen-containing compound. Industrial grades are used in selected phenolic-resin curing and specialty chemical processes. The crystalline ingredient should be compared by assay and impurity limits rather than trade name alone.
The specification sets assay ≥99%, water ≤0.50%, ash ≤0.05%, chloride ≤0.001%, sulfate ≤0.015%, ammonium salts ≤0.020% and lead ≤0.001%. These limits support incoming quality checks for the stated industrial solid. The specification does not establish pharmaceutical suitability.
