The supply specification controls solids ≥35%, sodium chloride ≤6%, colour ≤100 Hazen, amino nitrogen ≤0.5%, pH 4–7 and free amine ≤0.5%. Active-matter and salt content are important when comparing concentrates and developing viscosity in surfactant blends.
Shampoo, body wash and facial-cleanser development should evaluate CAPB with the selected anionic, nonionic or cationic ingredients. Test foam character, viscosity response, preservation and rinsing in the complete system. Ingredient positioning does not establish finished-product mildness.
