What Is 3,3′-Diindolylmethane (DIM)?
3,3′-Diindolylmethane (DIM), CAS 1968-05-4, C17H14N2, molecular weight 246.31 g/mol, is an indole compound formed from indole-3-carbinol. It is used as an ingredient in nutritional products where permitted and in research and synthesis. It is chemically different from indole-3-carbinol.
The white to off-white powder has assay ≥98%, loss on drying ≤0.5% and melting range 165–169°C.
It is not regulated as dangerous goods. Nutritional uses require a grade and documents permitted in the destination market. No health claim is made.
