Storage Conditions
Keep tightly closed and locked up below 30°C in a cool, dry, well-ventilated flammable-liquid storage area. Protect from heat, sparks, flames, sunlight and strong oxidizers; manage air exposure and peroxide formation.

What Is Cyclohexene?
Cyclohexene, CAS 110-83-8, is a cyclic olefin also known as tetrahydrobenzene. The colourless liquid has molecular formula C6H10 and molecular weight 82.14 g/mol. Its carbon-carbon double bond supports evaluation in technically supervised organic synthesis and specialty processing.
The TDS specifies purity ≥98.5%, low-boiling components ≤1.0% and high-boiling components ≤0.5%. The reference boiling point is approximately 83°C. Incoming inspection should compare the agreed limits and analytical methods with the delivered batch certificate of analysis.
Fine-chemical producers assess cyclohexene as a reactive intermediate, including development of chlorocyclohexane and related derivatives. Rubber-additive developers also evaluate it as a process intermediate or selected solvent. Establish reaction compatibility and process controls before scale-up.
Standard packing is 170 kg closed steel drums or approved ISO tanks. Cyclohexene is UN 2256, Class 3, packing group II. Its very low flash point and potential peroxide formation during air exposure require ignition control, compatible closed transfer and managed storage. Keep below 30°C as specified in the TDS, away from strong oxidizers and sources of heat.
