Storage & Shipping
Storage Conditions
Keep tightly closed in a cool, dry, ventilated area with moisture protection. Separate from strong oxidizers and incompatible process chemicals. Protect bags from water ingress; use controlled dissolution in suitable equipment.
Packaging Integrity
Inspect bag seams, moisture barriers and lifting loops where present. Secure pallets against shifting, avoid piercing bags and keep product and lot identification legible.

Handling & Protection
Control powder and granule dust during transfer. Wear suitable gloves, chemical splash goggles and protective clothing; add face protection where splashing is possible. Keep eyewash and washing facilities available and prevent all eye contact.
What Is Aluminium Sulphate?
Identity and supplied grade
CAS 10043-01-3 and EC 233-135-0 identify aluminium sulphate. The formula Al2(SO4)3 and molecular weight 342.15 g/mol describe the anhydrous salt. The commercial grade is specified by aluminium oxide content ≥17.0%; this does not mean 100% anhydrous purity.
Quality checks
The TDS sets limits for iron ≤0.005%, arsenic ≤0.0005%, lead ≤0.002% and water-insoluble matter ≤0.15%, with pH ≥3.0. Compare these values with the agreed specification and batch COA.
Application selection
Water-treatment plants can evaluate the material as a coagulant in qualified industrial and drinking-water systems. Paper mills use selected grades in sizing and wet-end processes. Other industrial applications include titanium dioxide processing.
Use process trials to establish dose, pH control and performance. Confirm that the grade meets the qualification requirements for the intended application.
Packing and handling
Packing is 50 kg or 1,000 kg bags. Store sealed, cool and dry with compatible moisture protection. The solid salt reference is non-dangerous goods for transport while causing serious eye damage. Control dust and use suitable gloves, chemical splash goggles and protective clothing.
