What Is Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C)?
Indole-3-carbinol (I3C, 3-indolemethanol), CAS 700-06-1, is an indole compound found in cruciferous vegetables. It is used as an ingredient in nutritional products where permitted and as an intermediate in synthesis.
The off-white to white crystalline powder has assay ≥99%. It is sensitive to light, heat and acid, so store it sealed, cool and dark.
It is not regulated as dangerous goods. Nutritional uses require a grade and documents permitted in the destination market. No health claim is made.
