What Is Isophorone?
Isophorone (3,5,5-trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1-one), CAS 78-59-1, is a high-boiling ketone solvent. It dissolves many resins and pesticides, so it is used in agrochemical emulsifiable concentrates, coatings, inks and adhesives, and as an intermediate for isophorone diamine and other chemicals.
The colourless liquid has assay ≥99%.
It is not regulated as dangerous goods under IMDG or IATA; use ventilation and avoid skin contact.
