Storage Conditions
Keep in the original inhibited condition in a cool, shaded, ventilated area. Protect from heat, light and initiator contamination; follow the stabilizer-specific headspace requirements and avoid uncontrolled de-inhibition.

Inspect drum seals, closures and pallet restraints before unloading. Keep upright, protect from punctures and heat, retain lot identification and use clean dedicated transfer equipment.

What Is Ethylene Glycol Dimethacrylate (EGDMA)?
Ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, EGDMA, CAS 97-90-5, carries two polymerizable methacrylate groups. Its difunctional structure makes it a crosslinking comonomer for selected acrylic and methacrylate systems. It differs from ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether, which uses epoxy chemistry.
The original ZXCHEM TDS specifies purity ≥90%, acid value ≤0.05% on the stated TDS basis, moisture ≤0.05%, colour ≤50 APHA and inhibitor 20±5 ppm. These supply limits should remain separate from reagent grades with other inhibitor levels. The inhibitor quantity is a quality parameter for both storage and processing.
Selected emulsion polymers, adhesives and acrylic resins require evaluation of crosslink density, gel formation, viscosity and substrate performance. Establish monomer loading, initiator balance and temperature control in the complete formulation. Evaluate pot life and cured-property retention at the intended service conditions.
For reactive resin and PMMA development, compare conversion, shrinkage and mechanical properties through appropriate trials. Preserve the stabilizer system and avoid heat, light and unintended initiator contamination. Standard packing is 200 kg plastic drums; the original TDS lists 16 MT per 20-foot FCL.
