TCMTB (2-(thiocyanomethylthio)benzothiazole), CAS 21564-17-0, is a benzothiazole fungicide and bactericide. This 30% liquid concentrate is mainly used to protect hides and leather from mould during tanning and storage, and to preserve industrial materials.
The specification table lists active content and the other quality limits for the 30% concentrate. Formula and molecular weight refer to TCMTB itself, not the whole liquid.
TCMTB is toxic and ships as Class 6.1. Use closed handling and skin and eye protection. Finished biocidal products need authorization in the destination market.
