What Is Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate (SDIC)?
Sodium dichloroisocyanurate (SDIC), CAS 2893-78-9, is a chlorinated isocyanurate disinfectant with at least 60% available chlorine, supplied as white powder, granules or tablets. It dissolves quickly, which suits pool shock dosing and effervescent disinfectant tablets.
Other uses include process-water treatment, sanitation product manufacture, textile bleaching and wool shrink-proofing. When comparing offers, check available chlorine on the same test basis and the physical form you need.
It ships as Class 5.1 oxidizer. Keep it dry and cool, and never mix it with acids, ammonium compounds, organic material or other chlorine products such as calcium hypochlorite: contact can cause fire or release toxic gas.
