What Is Benzophenone-2 (BP-2)?
Benzophenone-2, also called BP-2, is a hydroxy-substituted benzophenone used in UV-absorbing formulations. The listed crystal grade controls assay, loss on drying, melting point and specific absorbance.
Solubility and compatibility must be evaluated in the actual resin or solvent system. Color development, light stability and migration can depend on the base formulation and processing temperature.
