3-Chloroperoxybenzoic acid (mCPBA), CAS 937-14-4, is an organic peroxide oxidizing reagent. It is used for epoxidation of alkenes, Baeyer-Villiger oxidation and N-oxide formation in pharmaceutical and fine-chemical synthesis.
The supply grade is a wet crystalline powder with purity ≥75% and moisture ≤25%; the water reduces shock and friction sensitivity.
