As part of our initiative to integrate entertainment with daily operations, ZXCHEM recently held an internal card and board game tournament. The event was designed to foster team spirit and inject a dose of fun competition into team members.The tournament saw enthusiastic participation across five popular games: Texas Hold’em, Guan Dan, Dou Di Zhu, Gomoku, and Mahjong, each selected to cater to the diverse interests of our employees and to promote strategic thinking and teamwork.
Texas Hold’em challenges players to win chips by skillfully combining their two hole cards with the five community cards on the table to create the strongest hand possible. This Texas Hold’em tournament drew both seasoned pros and curious beginners from the company, creating a dynamic environment that allowed participants to fully engage in thrilling strategic duels.
In the game of Dou Di Zhu, a three-player card game, two farmers collaborate to outplay the landlord, aiming to be the first to empty their hand of cards. The collaboration and strategy between the two farmers are critical, enhancing synchrony and mutual understanding among colleagues, thereby strengthening team bonds.
Gomoku involves a duel where players strive to be the first to align five pieces of the same color in a row on the board. As the competition’s longest game, it was described by participants as ‘brain-burning’, providing ample opportunity for self-challenge and enjoyment.
Guan Dan, a card game that hails from Jiangsu, is played by four people in pairs with the goal of being the first to play all one’s cards. The popularity of this event reflected the local adage, “Jiangsu people love playing Jiangsu games,” drawing enthusiastic participation from many local employees.
It’s particularly worth mentioning that this time, the distinctive “Zhongxin Mahjong” not only eliminated the use of bonus tiles but also introduced a new way to play with the eyes, significantly increasing the multiplier for winning hands.
These games not only provided a break from routine but also cultivated a lively and strategically stimulating atmosphere within the workplace.
